Tram Running at Full Speed

It is starting to feel like winter in Jackson Hole. The ski shops are filled with new skis, the temperatures are starting to drop, and the Tram is running at full speed! I have to admit I am a little jealous that friends were skiing over the head pow in Little Cottonwood Canyon last weekend, but Jackson is worth the wait. There is talk of another big winter in Jackson Hole. Who knows, seeing the brand new tram flying high to the top of Rendevous Bowl made me jones for winter. 19 days until the resort opens!

Storm Show Studios Presents 600"

Storm Show Studios 600″ was one of the best cult films I have seen in a long time. Darrell Miller (producer, athlete, lead camera) did a great job capturing the essence of Jackson. He not only showed top athletes, but included the hard-core ski bums with no sponsors in the valley. If you want to see and feel what the locals see and feel, check this film out. Wild Cards for the FWT

The Freeride World Tour just announced the Wild Cards for Sochi, Russia. Congratulations to everyone who received a wild card. The FWT is an amazing tour. I am really excited to see more women on the tour this year. I think having more women will push all of us to ski our very best and bring the level of competition to a new height. Happy Halloween

I couldn’t believe it when the door bell rang friday night and three trick or treaters were standing on my porch. I have bought candy for the last three years in anticipation of trick or treaters who never came. Ofcourse, the one year I am not prepared they show up.

I was caught completely off guard, no candy. I quickly started rummaging through the cabinets for something that would resemble Halloween candy. There were two options; Emergen-C packets or GU packets.

The Espresso Love GU packets won and so that is how I ended up handing out GU packets on Halloween.

I thought I was in the clear, but then one of the fairy’s asked me what I was dressed up as.

Eric and I had decided to go as a pimp and ho. Once again caught off guard……..ummmmm, I’m a snow fairy. Luckily, she seemed happy with my answer, grabbed her GU packet and left. Next year, I will be prepared!
